The Aramaic letters yodh-yeh Spell Aramaic word for God -yah. This  Symbol is a scribal abbreviation of the Name og God as revealed by Moses on Mount sinai (Exodus 3:14) Ancient Near Eastern scribes employed this symbol to indicate that the writing was of a sacred nature

Manuscript of Malayalam songs of Cochin Jews photocopied from the collection of Jacob and Sarah Cohan Jew Town, Cochin. Dt. 16 October 1995. Contains songs texts in Malayalam script for various occasions and celebrations, including weddings. The last two pages contain a note in English that indicates that the manuscript was prepared before the creation of the nation-state of Israel in 1948.

Christian Musicological Society of India is an international forum for interdisciplinary research, discussion, and dissemination of knowledge, on the music, art and dance of about thirty million Christians in India, who belong to a diverse set of communities and linguistic groups and follow a variety of liturgical traditions some of which date back to the early Christian era. Founded in 1999 by Dr. Joseph J. Palackal CMI, the Society hopes that such researches will draw attention to the lesser known aspects of India in connection with the rest of the world.
