Notes
Syriac Theology and the Mesapotamian Connection!
PART - II Rev. Dr. Paul Maniyattu in conversation with Fr. Joseph Palackal,CMI. At Paurastya Vidyapitam, vadavathoor, kottayam on 27 July 2023
Fr. Pauly Maniyattu on Cultural adaptation of Christian faith in India. Christian faith in India has had its own trajectories and grew independent of the Mesopotamian mindset in many matters. The faith was referred to by the Sanskrit term MARGGAM. Our forefathers did not see a conflict between faith and (local)culture. That probably was the reason for the lack of persecution. Fr. Pauly Maniyattu gives more examples of cultural adaptation of the Christian faith in Kerala, India.

- It was clear that South India was a clear colony of Sons of Yaqob and Isho (Yeshuah) send his disceples to Lost tribes, then Paul found it for everyone. We are using Aramaic as Syriac , why ? Because that time of migration Syria Palestina was under Assyrian emperrors and Arams was forced to call as Syrian. Thats how Aramaic slowly dissappeared and Arabic became a major language by the power of Isalmic rulers but we must respect that Hebrew well perished by Jews of Jerusalem who did not accept Isho as Mishiha. - MALCOM MATYEHU -December 2023
