Introduction:
The Eucharistic prayer of Saints Addai and Mari begins with the Trinitarian salutation taken from St. Paul's second letter to the Corinthians, “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ…..etc, (2Cor 13: 13) This is followed by a dialogue between the celebrant and the congregation, starting with "Let your minds be on high.” The salutation and the dialogue are treated as a single unit in this musical setting.
Lyrics of the song
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
The love of God the Father,
And the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
Be with us all now, always and for ever.
Amen. Amen.
Let your minds be on high.
Towards you, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
O glorious King!
The Qurbana is offered to God, the Lord of all.
It is right and just.
